Atlantis seen by the Egyptians

The ancient Greek writings

The ancient Greeks had cultural relations with Egypt

They learned the sciences, mathematics, geometry and philosophy in Egypt

The ancient Greeks recognized that it was Egypt that gave them their scientific knowledge

Plato, Pythagoras, Herodotus, Lucian and Thales, among others, have spent several years of study in Egypt for Greece at the time was a semi-barbaric civilization

The Greeks have been eye witnesses of ancient Egypt and reflected in their writings a knowledge of ancient Egypt that we are only beginning to see with hieroglyphic texts that we have already translated, but there remain thousands to translate and find out …

The fables of La Fontaine are just copies of Aesop’s fables, which has copied the Egyptian texts …

The ancient Greek intellectuals, however, have asked, through their work, all the foundations of Western culture today

It is therefore difficult to claim that these writers are not people not serious …

Yet when they speak of Atlantis, with all the necessary details so that we can apprehend them as true, they are treated with fantasists!

They, it is Solon, Herodotus, Dropides, Socrates, Critias, Plato, Diodorus of Sicily, among others …

Yet these very serious people, at any time in their writings, not question the existence of Atlantis

They close only comments Atlantean technology to their own knowledge

Solon

Born around 640 BC. J-C., Who died in 558 BC. AD, statesman, legislator and poet Athenian Solon made trips to Libya and Egypt

It is at Sais in Egypt that, according to Plato in the Timaeus, Solon would have heard the myth of Atlantis from the mouth of local priests, guardians of a column engraved with hieroglyphics telling the story

He planned his return to Athens to write a poem on the subject, but abandoned because of the magnitude of the task

The story was nevertheless sent to his family through Dropides and Critias, Plato up.

The column on which the priests could read the story to Solon of Atlantis, was not found.

Plato

Plato was born in Athens, 427 BC. BC / 348 BC. BC is a Greek philosopher, a disciple of Socrates

Nicknamed the divine Plato, it is often considered one of the first great philosophers of western philosophy

Platonic philosophy is characterized by extreme wealth

Plato turned both to the political philosophy to moral philosophy, epistemology, cosmology or to aesthetics. Positions are still often discussed or defended by contemporary philosophy

He belonged to an aristocratic family: his father, Ariston, claimed descent from the last king of Athens, Codrus, and his mother, Périctioné, descended from a Dropidès, near Solon

She was also the cousin of Critias, one of the Thirty Tyrants

Socrates and Plato

The meeting between Socrates and Plato was essential for the evolution of thought of that

It is in the mind of Socrates, Plato found the seeds of many of his theories, whether in ethics, political philosophy regarding the theory of Ideas

The influence of Socrates on Plato was so great that the work of the latter was written in part to the memory of his teacher Socrates as shown above the Phaedo, the Symposium and Apology

The Critias

Critias or Atlantic is a dialogue of Plato

The characters are dialogue Timaeus, Socrates, Critias and Hermocrates

Plato in the Timaeus and Critias, attaching to the description of an ideal city, Atlantis

In Critias, Plato clarifies the organization of the kingdom of Atlantis

In addition, he said that the Egyptians were the first to write this story

He said to Critias:

The gods divided, by lot, all the land into lots, the largest here, also smaller

Poseidon, god of the sea, set up in some place of the island, the children he had begotten a mortal woman …

Then living on a mountain one of the men in that country, were originally born from the (goddess) Earth

His name was Evenor, and he lived with a woman, Leucippe

They gave birth to an only daughter, Clito …

Poseidon desired her and lay with her

However, the height on which they lived, the god of fortified and isolated in a circle

To this end, he made pregnant sea and land, large and small …

Poseidon beautify the island, he brought forth two springs, one hot and one cold, and caused to grow in the land of food plants of all kinds

There he fathered and raised five generations of children and male twins

He divided the island of Atlantis into ten parts

The elder became king over all other

He made them vassals of the princes …

In all, he imposed names: the oldest, the king, received the name that was used to designate the whole island and the sea called the Atlantic, because the name was the first king Atlas

As for the nine brothers, their names derive from the qualities of the people of Atlantis:

Eumélos, the beautiful sheep twin Atlas

Amphérès, properly fitted on both sides, speaking of a rudder

Évaimon, good race

MNES, which covets

Autochtonos, born of the earth

Élasippos, leader of horses

Mestor, adviser

Azaès, with dark skin

Diaprepes, the magnificent

then follows the physical description of the kingdom:

The kings had in such abundance of wealth than ever before them probably no royal house possesses similar and possesses no such easily in the future

The island provided them with all the hard or soft metal, probably lead and tin, which can be extracted from mines

First, that which we know only the name, orichalcum or brass

It was the most valuable, after gold, metals that existed in those days

The island provided lavishly all that the forest can yield materials suitable to the work of carpenters

It also ate all sufficiency in domestic or wild animals

It gave cultivated fruits, and seeds that have been made for food and meals from which we derive

Thus, collecting on their soil all these riches, the people of Atlantis built the temples, royal palaces, ports

But, as always, after the splendor of summer comes the fall of the decline:

For many generations, the kings listened to the laws and remained attached to the divine principle which they were related .. but when the divine element in them came to fall, by virtue of crossing with many deaths, they fell into indecency …

The Critias stops here

Either Plato never wrote a result, in which he was detailing the war of the Athenians against the Atlanteans, or it was lost

The same doubt remains as to the existence of the third dialogue, Hermocrates, which should logically complete the triptych

The Timaeus

The philosopher introduced the myth in the Timaeus, in a story told by Critias, a wealthy Athenian disciple of Socrates and Plato’s parent itself

According to Critias, his great-grandfather, Dropidès, was entrusted by the legislator Solon, a confidence that he was an Egyptian priest of the temple of Sais

The priest said:

In those days you could get through this Atlantic Ocean

She had an island before you call this passage, you say, the Pillars of Hercules

This island was larger than Libya and Asia put together …

Now in this island, Atlantis, the Kings had formed a great and wonderful empire
The priest then proceeds to narrate the struggle of the Greeks, led by Athens and Athens alone, against the soldiers came Atlantes of the islands from the bottom of the Atlantic, events that is 9000 years before AD

Shortly after the victory of earthquakes occur in Athens and in Atlantis

In the space of a single day and night terrible, your entire Athenian army was swallowed up at once and under the earth, and the island of Atlantis sank into the sea and disappeared

That’s why, even today, that ocean out there is difficult and unexplored by the obstacle of very low and muddy the island, sinks, filed

Timaeus then gives a general description of the Atlantean civilization, its expansion, the war against Athens and the final destruction of Atlantis

Diodorus of Sicily

Diodorus of Sicily, the Greek historian and columnist born about 90 to Agyrium in Sicily, who died

to 30, is the author of the Historical Library in which he also mentions Atlantis in Book III

Diodorus of Sicily saw the time of Julius Caesar and Augustus

After visiting the countries of Europe and Asia and Egypt, he moved to Rome

He leaves a considerable work, one of the richest information on ancient Egypt, ancient Greece and ancient Rome

He worked for 30 years at the Historical Library, which covers over a thousand years

History, of the mythological era of Julius Caesar

His work, written in Greek, includes 40 books, including the fact remains today that 15

She is the first to address a universal history

Sometimes attributed to Diodorus the list of seven wonders of the world given its detailed description of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon in the Book II of the Historical Library

Atlantis

Atlantis Atlantis from ancient Greek, inferred Nesos Island, that is to say island of Atlas, is a legendary island that would have been swallowed up in pre-ancient

The myth of Atlantis resonates for almost 2700 years as a warning about the incredible longevity of human knowledge of a history of more than 11 600 years

Plato, world traveler, had seen in Egypt and Sicily, legends and historical facts about the western basin of the Mediterranean and ocean regions can be

In fact, we can according to the synthesis of all the Greek writers of texts and translations of hieroglyphics, locate Atlantis beyond the Pillars of Hercules or the Straits of Gibraltar

The vast island continent, was made up of two large islands, starting in north Iceland, the hot springs, and ending in the Azores, heat sinks

If he had acted inventions, the inventor would have located the sources logically, that is to say to the other side of reality: there are many hot springs, geysers, Iceland, and would have placed the Azores …

Indeed at that time, none of these writers have exceeded the Pillars of Hercules …

During the sinking of Atlantis, it triggered a tsunami of mud to Egypt as the Egyptians tell the …

It does not invent waves of muddy water coming from so far away, they were subjected …

Of course, they all speak of war …

The main characters we know are the Kelts, but obviously they can not conceive of any other Athenian army, even if Athens 5000 years ago did not exist …

They give as much because of the sinking of Atlantis to the consequences of war: the war against an army that would have the technological means to legitimately oppose these Atlanteans who had the means of the gods …

They confirm therefore the war against the Kelts of Atlantis …

Also they are the event: a long time ago …

That’s why they place 9000 years before Solon, or there are nearly 12,000 years, in full ice age Wurm III …

5000 years ago is a more realistic date …

With the sinking of Atlantis, they say that earthquakes and other disasters were felt to Athens …

In fact 5000 years ago in Brittany and Normandy were linked, and as a result of the disaster of Atlantis, the Gulf of Saint Malo has grown and emerged Chausey Islands, Jersey, Guernsey and the Mont Saint Michel …

Note, weakened, a portion of land remaining between Brittany and Normandy, collapsed in the year 600 AD, and that this collapse in nine parishes have been swallowed, since at that time local geography was recognized in parishes, issue of income of the Church …

Also on that date, has widened the gulf of Morbihan …

But certainly on all coasts, both American and European Atlantic and Mediterranean and Africa, there’s be many other collapses

The disappearance of the city of Ys in the Bay of Douarnenez fact may be one of those here …

Atlantis was located on the Mid-Atlantic

Ridges are elongated reliefs on the ocean floor

Wide from 1000 to 2000 km, they are long over 60 000 km high and over 2000 m above the sea floor

In some respects, the top may reach the surface (Iceland, Azores …)

At ridges, oceanic crust is formed continuously by the addition of magma

The axis of the back is often marked by a lower zone, the rift

Iceland is an emerging field of Mid-Atlantic Ridge, 15 000 km long, part of the extensive system of underwater volcanic chain which forms the oceanic crust

The northern part of the mid-Atlantic ridge marks the boundary where the plates diverge Eurasia / North about 2 cm / yr in the east / west

High, averaging 1500, based on funds – 4000m, the ridge is normally underwater

Iceland as the Azores or Saint Helena, the axis of the ridge coincides with a mantle plume, hot rocks rise from the base of the lower mantle

This greatly increases the heat production of magma

There are about 20 million years, the accumulation of volcanic rocks has given rise to the island and now allows the ground to observe the process of extending conventional submarines

The Atlantic ridge is a lip opened between the tectonic plates of 100 km thick and is the outlet valve of the overflow of magma

Normally, the magma evacuated, dismisses these plates of 2 cm per year and this creates a rift magma, a small hill

It is the existence of this ridge at this point that allowed the use of kelts to sink the island of Atlantis

Atlantis was on the Atlantic ridge and sending through the MA oscillation waves of magma increasingly more important dismissed those lips and eventually engulf the island which was above
